Frequently Asked Questions.....

  • How much ashes do you need for ashes jewellery?

Each piece of jewellery only requires a pinch of the cremation ashes. I suggest sending one spoonful, most of which is then returned to you along with your finished piece. If ordering a glass art memorial, I suggest a sending one large spoonful.

  • How do I get the ashes to you?

When an order is placed, I send you out a pack with instructions of how to send some of the ashes to me. This includes a pouch to put them in and an addressed envelope for their return. You can also request a free order pack in advance of ordering.

When an order is placed from overseas, we ask you to send the ashes to us direct. Instructions for which, will be sent upon ordering.

  • Can I drop the ashes off in person?

Yes. If you are local you are welcome to drop the ashes off in person. Just contact me before hand to arrange.

  • How long does it take to make ashes jewellery or a memorial?

Please allow 2-3 weeks for your piece to be made. Most pieces are turned around in 2 weeks, once I have receipt of the ashes. If you have a specific date you need your piece by, please mention this as your order may be able to be prioritised. Pieces that need sending away for hallmarking will take longer. Times taken for this vary depending on how busy the assay office is.

  • How do I know what size to order?

Bangles, bracelets & anklets are made to measure. Instructions for how to provide bangle and bracelets measurements will be sent to you after you order.

Rings are also made to your size. If you are unsure of your ring size, or wish to double check, a ring sizer can be sent you to you along with your ashes instruction pack. Just select ring sizer on the drop down menu on the 'request free order pack' form;

If unsure of what necklace size to choose, my  handy necklace size guide should help;

  • Can I have the ashes of a beloved person or a beloved pet in my piece?

Yes, it is possible to have either. The process is exactly the same.

  • Can you combine the ashes of different people or pets in one piece?

Yes. This is a common request and it is perfectly possible to combine the ashes of two different loved ones within a piece.

If you wish to send the ashes to me separately, just mention that you wish to do this, and more pouches will be sent to you in the instruction pack. Then a pinch of each will be combined in the final piece.

  • Can I see samples of the glass colours?

If you are UK based, you can choose up to 3 colour samples to be sent to you free of charge. Just complete the contact form to request them.

  • What metal is my jewellery made from and will my piece be hallmarked?

All pieces are currently made from sterling silver. Pieces that weigh over 7.78g legally require hallmarking.

Any pieces that weigh over this (usually bangles and heavier pendants) will be sent away to the British Assay Office to be hallmarked.

The cost of this is included in the price of the jewellery. If you would like a hallmark on any piece of jewellery that can be arranged, for the extra cost of the hallmarking service.

  • Can I order from overseas?

Yes, orders can be shipped overseas. For orders outside of the UK we ask that the ashes are sent direct, rather than an instruction pack being sent out, to cut down on time.

The amount of time it takes to send back to you varies depending on your countries postal system. All items are sent tracked delivery.
